Resumo
Nowadays, sustainability is a key factor in any research or process development. Ionic liquids have been pointed as green solvents and alternatives to many organic solvents. These fluids have found numerous applications. One of them is the possibility to be used as absorbents in absorption refrigeration systems. The use of Ionic Liquids mixed with other component as working par in the cooling part of the process has been point out as an alternative. Imidazolium based ionic liquids has been studied as alternatives[1]. \nThe aim of this work is to provide more macroscopic data concerning mixtures of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate [C2mim][EtSO4] with an alcohol, in an effort to add more data about different systems and to increase the ability of the models of predict more accurate properties concerning these kind of systems.\nHere is presented the refractive indexes of several mixtures of {[C2mim][EtSO4] + 1-pentanol} covering the entire range of composition and at temperatures from T = (283.15 to 343.15) K and 0.1 MPa.
