Resumo
Quantum random number generators (QRNGs) based on homodyne detection have a potential to be a cost-effective\\nsolution to deploy random numbers at high-speed rates over networks. The new information technologies, such\\nas quantum key distribution, cloud computing, and big data, demands true randomness for those cryptosystems\\nto be secure and private. This is incompatible with known security loopholes of classical pseudo-random number\\ngenerators. In this work, we discuss our recent advances in the implementation of a vacuum-based QRNG service to\\nbe used in a distributed network environment. We will also highlight the advantages of using quantum technologies\\nto generate random numbers in comparison with classical approaches
