Searching for Stellar Black Holes

Summary
In the past few years several low mass black hole binaries have been identi^Led. These systems are identi^Led during a transient phase when they are strong X-ray sources. Such transients are discovered at a rate of one per year. It is believed that hundreds of such systems exist in the galactic disk, probably in X-ray quiescence. Most of them show very strong Hα emission lines. Our goal is to search the galactic plane for such kind of sources, and identify new possible candidates.
