Summary
In association with Lisbon European Green Capital 2020, the National Museum of Ancient Art presents an itinerary through the animal iconography represented in its collections. Materials of animal origin, real, fantastic and symbolic animals are starting points for different readings about the works, drawing attention to the particularities and meanings of these elements that, so often, go unnoticed.
