Resumo
Catalysts are used in several industrial processes to obtain products from polymers to cancer treatment drugs, and so many other things required by the modern societies [1]. In this work, the main objective is the utilization of supercritical anti-solvent process (SAS) as a method for the production of nanoparticles of catalysts.\nThe SAS process was already used to micronize organic compounds with pharmaceutical applications and some catalysts precursors [2, 3]. SAS shows the ability of tune some properties of the particles, such as the particle size, particle size distribution and morphology[4], and this can be a very interesting characteristic for the production of heterogeneous catalysts.\nMoreover, this process can be used not only to produce nanoparticles of heterogenous catalysts, but also to recover homogeneous catalysts from the solvents used in the reaction and prevent the loss of materials in the production processes.
