Summary
Ionic liquids are salts composed with anion and a cation that are liquid at temperatures below 100 °C, they are known to have low vapor liquid equilibrium, low-volatile, low flammability under ambient conditions high thermal stability and high ionic conductivity. They are seen as possible electrolytes for new and more efficient batteries. Graphene is known to have a high electrical conductivity and its affect to an ionic liquid was studied with the purpose to increase the electrical conductivity of the base fluid.
