Resumo
Within the Center for Structural Chemistry (CQE), the Thematic lines on Materials Chemistry and Photoactive Processes and on Thermodynamics of Fluids & Nanosystems (TL-3 and TL-4) develop their research within the areas of advanced materials and technologies, namely:\n• the study and development of advanced materials such as graphene and other carbon-based materials, \n• advanced technologies for materials processing, such as plasmonics, surface functionalization and sol-gel processing,\n• Energy storage, energy conversion and solid state lighting.\n• Nano and Engineering Fluids: structural and thermophysical properties, as well as phase equilibria, permeation, supercritical phenomena and heat transfer properties.\n• Ionic Liquids and Molten Salts: structure and thermophysical properties, high temperature chemistry and applications to energy and materials production. \nA brief highlight of these topics, as well as some of the most representative R&D projects currently under way, will be presented.
