Resumo
IoNanofluids, complex dispersions of nanomaterials in ionic liquids are relatively new engineering and reaction fluids. The nature of its structure and properties have paved the way for many applications, experimental and theoretical developments, and some of them started to be applied in the chemical and allied industries. \\nA brief outline on the nature, preparation, structure characterization, properties and applications as heat transfer fluids, nanocatalysts reactive media and selective solar absorption paints is given in the present chapter.\\nIoNanofluids research has many challenges to proceed in a harmonic and efficient way, which are outlined in the last section. It is needed, as in the molecular solvents nanofluids, less quantity but more quality, involving the fundamental physical, chemical and thermodynamic principles. However, it can make the future support for environmentally safe and biodegradable fluids, contributing to a better and sustainable world.
